Description
Southern NH bassist here seeking experienced, reliable musicians with a strong desire to form/join a female fronted funk/hip-hop/dance cover band and perform at higher paying events. After having performed in various classic rock, rock and blues type genre bands for more than a dozen years, the purpose of this group is pivot into more exciting genres, bring a completely different vibe to the dance floor and make some decent money in the process. The current singer is a naturally talented vocalist but also open to exploring other talented female singers who believe they have the skill and personality to be the front person.
Interested musicians:
Plan is to form a 5 piece group consisting of female lead singer, bass, drums, guitar and other unique instrument(s) e.g. keyboard, horn etc.
- Target setlist will generally be funkified songs (e.g. scary pockets, pomplamoose, lettuce, lake street dive, cory wong etc), some dance (e.g. dua lipa, daft punk etc) and some hip-hop. Your input is valued in setlist design but must fit the desired genre and vibe. Slower cocktail hour tunes will eventually be involved but straight rock/blues songs will be kept to a minimum for the main set.
- I have experience booking, orchestrating and managing all details related to wedding and corporate events and key personnel.
- Ambitious, enjoys some challenging songs, has reliable equipment and transportation, but also knows how to have fun.
- Practiced your parts prior to arriving at rehearsal and you value tight musicianship.
- Committed to creating a 40-45 song setlist relatively quickly but within reason (i.e. within about 3-4 months timeframe) and gigging once a month. Practice schedule of once a week but not less than once every other week.
- Videos of your live performances preferred
Thanks!
