You captured my attention in the most profound way. I could not help but notice you, standing alone in the sunlight, watching the sea lions at the pier. I am not sure why you attracted my soul but you did. I was pleasantly shocked when you came upstairs to sit at the table that was next to my father and I. Our visit, interrupted by... You. I make no apology for drinking you in with my eyes, for I could not help myself, half listening to my Dad as the smile that lit your face for the lions was warm and kind and told me everything I needed to know. I was pretty rough and scruffy from a day on the beach, awkward, windblown and chapped, definitely not my finest moment. But you made my day, made me smile and I am still thinking about you...
