- PLEASE, READ THE ENTIRE AD BEFORE RESPONDING. Don't waste your time or mine, please. No resumes. Perfect for a skilled retiree or a semi-retired person or someone only wanting part time work. Flexible, Part-time, 3 days+, per week, 11am to 4 pm, Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday. (Hours may vary.) (Aprox. 15 - 20 hours weekly. This gig might be a good fit for an experienced, mature, semi-retired person with the right skills and the right experience who wishes to work part-time and who can accommodate our schedule. You must have a valid driver's license and own a vehicle for your transportation. No drop-offs, pick-ups or public transportation as that is too unreliable. This gig is in Providence not far from N. Main St. Hours vary but I suggest between 11am -- 4pm, weekdays (Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday), approximately 3 days per week. (May vary.) The work will involve multiple properties in the same neighborhood. Work will be approximately 15/20 hours per week @ $17 per hr cash, some weeks more hours, some less. Pay is $17 per hour, contractor pay in cash on Friday or on the last day of work for the week. No daily pay, no loans or cash advances. Looking for a long term commitment. This part-time work would be a good fit for people with the right experience, the right tools, and a flexible work schedule. I manage 5 properties and the work will entail maintenance as well as landscaping, snow removal, renovations and repairs. For carpentry we have several shelving unit to build and install as well as other repairs. My name is Irene and I will be directing and supervising the work on our properties. My husband and I have years of experience in all the work being done. Not looking for advisors or supervisors but for people who can follow directions well but who can also provide creative problem solving skills. You should be able to be cooperative and collaborative. We will be doing a lot of outdoor work in the summer, like yard-work, gardening, leaves, grass, general clean-up and some repairs on fencing, the house, etc. In addition some woodworking, shelving, cabinetry, some painting, joint compounding, renovation skills. If you have minor plumbing and electrical skills they are also appreciated. All skills are appreciated. You should be (1) a good communicator, (2) a creative problem solver, (3) have critical thinking skills, (4) the ability to work unsupervised, (5) mature. In other words, you should be intelligent. There will be a lot of work and it will be regular and ongoing. This can be a year round gig if you don't mind shoveling snow in the winter. Most importantly, we are looking for someone who is stable, owns a vehicle, has no drug or alcohol, personal or legal issues. You must have experience in some of the areas I listed and you must have some tools. No resumes, please. If you are interested in a short term cash gig, look elsewhere. I'm looking for someone who wants a steady gig working for honest people long term.
