Nebraska Blues Challenge - 5 Bands and 3 Solos compete for a chance to perform at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, TN!
Join us for the 2021 Nebraska Blues Challenge on Sunday, Oct. 24, 2021 at The Jewell in Omaha, NE. This year’s challenge consists of three Solo acts and five bands. $10 admission supports the Blues Society of Omaha and our efforts to Keep the Blues Alive and the Blues Challenge in Nebraska. The performance schedule is as follows:
3:00-3:30 - Stan & The Chain Gang (Band)
3:40- 4:10 - Tim Budig Band (Band)
4:20-4:50 - Stephen Monroe (Solo)
5:00-5:30 - Rich Patten (Solo)
5:40 - 6:10 - The David Diaz Project (Band)
6:20 - 6:50 - OLUS (Band)
7:00 - 7:30 - Liv'n The Dream (Band)
7:40 - 8:10 - Nebraska Jr (Solo)
Winners from both categories will be announced at approximately 8:30 PM after the esteemed judging panel tabulate votes.
Participating acts will be vying for a prize package that includes cash, opportunities for paid gigs (including but not limited to the 2022 In The Market For Blues) and travel expense stipend for the 2022 International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee, presented by The Blues Foundation.
The Blues Society of Omaha is an Affiliate of the Blues Foundation, which produces the annual International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee. The International Blues Challenge will be held January 18- 22, 2022.
