Description
MELROSE, MA — There will be four days of early voting for the November election.
The City Council earlier this week approved the city's proposed early voting schedule. Early voting will take place at City Hall during the following times:
Sat., Oct. 23, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.Mon., Oct. 25, 9 a.m.-2 p.m.Tues., Oct. 26, 9 a.m.-2 p.m.Wed., Oct. 27, 9 a.m.-noon and 4-8 p.m.City Clerk Kristin Foote said issues that hampered accessibility at City Hall have been fixed.
Early voting will be one of three ways to vote for the Nov. 2 election. Voters can also cast ballots by mail and in-person on Election Day.
The election isn't expected to draw a huge turnout — there's only one contested seat on the entire ballot — but the Elections Department is going to get the word out to all voters via postcards explaining all three ways to vote.
