EAST ISLIP, NY - Five motorcycles and four three-wheeled vehicles were stolen on two separate dates within a span of one week in Heckscher State Park, police said. According to New York State Police, on Thursday, Sept. 16 at 10:55 a.m., three green 2021 Kawasakis and two turquoise 2021 Kawasakis were reported stolen from a locked storage container in Field 7 of the park. This Wednesday, police responded to a report of four missing Can-Am Rykers from another storage unit in the same field at about 11:17 am., authorities said. In both incidents, police said, the containers were damaged and their locks were cut. Police are currently investigating the theft.
