STAMFORD, CT — A 20-year-old Stamford man has been charged in connection with a shooting that occurred last month, according to police.
Capt. Richard Conklin said that on Aug. 20, Keegan Bowes shot another man he knew in the hand in the area of a rear driveway near Glenbrook Road.
"We were able to obtain an arrest warrant that charged him with assault in the first degree and criminal possession of a firearm," Conklin said.
The Stamford Advocate reported that according to the warrant, the victim purchased marijuana from Bowes in the past and owed him money.
The warrant stated the victim was walking on Valley Road when a car pulled up and two men got out, one of whom was Bowes.
Bowes fired a 9 mm handgun with a green laser attached to it, Conklin said. The gun has not been recovered.
Conklin said Bowes was wanted for a "gang attack/stabbing" in New York, and he was recently taken into custody there. Bowes was able to post bond in Westchester County last week, and Stamford Police picked him up this past Monday and charged him, Conklin said.
Bowes was arraigned on Tuesday and posted a $200,000 bond. Conklin said he was released.
