Prior experience in Glaze Making or manufacturing is not required as we will offer training. This is a great opportunity to expand your career and develop artisan skills. Description Summary: Responsible for all aspects of glaze making including but not limited to consistent preparation of glazes according to identified specifications and profiles assigned. This includes performing color, gloss and spectrum adjustments with ceramic glazes for all product lines, creating small test batches of glaze by mixing proper quantities of materials in glaze lab and testing batches of glaze for accurate specifications while adhering to all safety procedures and quality measurement requirements. Responsibilities: • Read work orders, batch sheets, recipes, or formulas to determine mixing times and temperature and ingredient specifications • Mix prescribed quantities of ingredients or products into equipment. • Collect and examine product samples during production to test them for quality, color, content, consistency, viscosity, acidity, or specific gravity. • Understand quality standards for each product. Physical and General Requirements: • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions. • Basic math skills necessary to understand recipes, measurements and quantities. • Acute attention to detail. • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines. • Excellent organizational skills. • Consistent Attendance and punctuality required. • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities • Most job duties will be performed in a warehouse/production environment • Requires the ability to repetitively lift and carry 50lbs and frequent walking, including going up and down stairs, bending, standing for long periods and carrying/moving equipment, and supplies. Must possess the manual hand dexterity to use and grasp all spraying equipment, including sprayer, mixer, etc.
