Description
ARLINGTON, MA — A rash of coyote sightings and encounters – including three attacks on small children this past summer – is sparking a public seminar in Arlington.
Former Belmont animal control officer John Maguranis will host the meeting, which will take place Thursday, Oct. 7 from 6-7 p.m. Maguranis will cover a litany of topics, including normal and abnormal coyote behavior, what residents should do if they encounter a coyote and how to coexist with them safely.
In August, a 5-year-old boy was bitten on the leg while playing in a sandbox. Two 2-year-old girls were also attacked in separate incidents earlier this month.
