NAUGATUCK, CT — A Naugatuck resident is $30,000 richer this week after claiming a winning lottery ticket he purchased locally, the Connecticut Lottery announced.
On Thursday, the winner, whose identity was not released by the lottery, claimed a $30,000 prize from a winning 30X Cash 8th Edition ticket. The ticket had been purchased from the Stop One Mart on South Main Street in Naugatuck.
The game, which costs $30 per ticket, began in May, and as of Friday, 60 grand prizes of $30,000 remained unclaimed.
More than 1 million tickets have been printed, and the overall odds of winning are 1 in 3.53.
