Press release from Houston Community College: Sep 22, 2021 Dear Neighbors, Houston Community College (HCC) is back and ready to provide the best in both academic and workforce training as students start or continue their educational journey. Notably – as HCC scales up its in-person learning – there are some new opportunities for financial aid and technological assistance available to help students achieve their goals: Federal financial aid options offered HCC has received $59 million in federal Higher Education Emergency Relief Funds for use in helping students who have been adversely affected by the pandemic and current economic crisis. Funds are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and will be distributed until all funding has been allocated. Explore these unique and timely options today by visiting hccs.edu/emergency-help. Additional technology support is available HCC is also supporting students in their educational journey with several options for obtaining computers and internet access. Discounts are available on the purchase of computers from leading manufacturers. The college also offers free use of software from leading companies such as Microsoft and Adobe. Wi-Fi is available at all HCC campuses and outdoor venues, including college parking lots.
