MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — Summer is officially over, but the fun around Morris County is not. Activities around Morris County include the Ukrainian Festival, a Pet Adoption Festival and plenty more food and activities. Here are five events taking place this weekend around Morris County: 12th Annual Ukrainian Festival It's back! The Ukrainian Festival will return with great food, entertainment and good times by all. Festivities will include Ukrainian food, a pig roast, a bakery cafe, an international beer garden with live music and vendors galore. The event takes place from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday (rain or shine) at the Ukrainian American Cultural Center of NJ (60 North Jefferson Rd., Whippany). Find more info here. Pet Adoption Festival Adoptable pets are headed to Mike's Feed Farm (90 Hamburg Tpke. Suite 1, Riverdale). Visit puppies, kittens and adult animals that are looking for loving homes. The festival will feature vendor tents, local food trucks, free nail clipping from 12-2 p.m. and a live DJ. Bring your pet to enjoy. The event runs from 12-4 p.m. Sunday (rain date Oct. 3). Find out more here. Ort-Toberfest Ort Farms's fall activities continue Saturday and Sunday with something for everyone. Mount Tabor Volunteer Fire Department Wetdown & Building Dedication The Mount Tabor Volunteer Fire Department has some new things, including a fire engine, a 2021 E-One Typhoon Pumper and a redone firehouse. Festivities begin at 4 p.m. Saturday with a building-dedication ceremony, followed by live music, food, beer and soda. Bring the kids for a dunk tank, bounce house and inflatable slide. Hopatcong Food Truck & Music Festival, Plus Car Show Just outside of Morris County, you'll find a day filled with food, music, fun and 200 cars. The event will feature gourmet food trucks, beer, sangria and margaritas, a petting zoo, pony rides, axe throwing and more.
