The City of Mercer Island is hiring for a full-time Electrical/Building Inspector OR Senior Electrical/Building Inspector! We are recruiting for one position and will fill the position with either an Electrical/Building Inspector OR a Senior Electrical/Building Inspector, depending on the selected candidate’s qualifications. The Electrical/Building Inspector performs inspection and plan review of commercial, multi-family, and single-family residences in the process of construction, alteration or repair for compliance with code requirements and other regulations. The position enforces building, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire and energy codes, and requires frequent consultations with the public.
