Press release from West Chester University: September 23, 2021 Christopher Hanning, Dean of the Wells School of Music says, "Many members of our community don't realize that our faculty performances are open to the public, and that our expert faculty, who perform nationally and internationally, can be heard for FREE and in an up-close and personal setting." The fall faculty recital series includes: Monday, September 27 at 8 p.m. Grammy Award-Winner, David Cullen, Guitar Ware Family Recital Hall, Swope Music Building & Performing Arts Center Monday, October 11 at 8 p.m. Quintsylvania Winds Comprised of Kimberly Reighley, flute: Henry Grabb, oboe; Karen Dannessa, clarinet; Jonathan Gaarder, bassoon, and Elizabeth Pfaffle, horn. Philips Autograph Library, Philips Memorial Building Monday, November 1 at 8 p.m. In Young Lee, soprano & Carl Cranmer, piano Madeleine Wing Adler Theatre, Swope Music Building & Performing Arts Center Monday, November 29 at 8 p.m. Nicholas Provenzale, baritone & Terry Klinefelter, piano Madeleine Wing Adler Theatre, Swope Music Building & Performing Arts Center Monday, December 6 at 8 p.m. Stephen Ng, tenor Madeleine Wing Adler Theatre, Swope Music Building & Performing Arts Center All faculty, staff, students, and visitors, regardless of vaccination status, are required to wear a mask which covers their nose and mouth when indoors. West Chester University's Wells School of Music offers students an outstanding opportunity in concentrated performance and musicianship. The School's superior performance and practice venues include 22 new Steinways, Skinner organ, tech lab, Roland piano lab, and more. Students study with renowned faculty who have dual careers as dedicated educators and professional musicians. Faculty provide private lessons for all music students and are the directors for numerous student ensembles. The School supports a wide variety of performance degrees, including a Bachelor of Music in Performance, as well as a Master of Music in Performance.
