MISSION VIEJO, CA — Mission Viejo, do you know of an individual, business or organization that provides outstanding services to people with disabilities in your community? The city wants to hear from you. In honor of October's designation as Disability Awareness Month, the city is seeking nominations to show thanks to those who go above and beyond to assist people with disabilities in Mission Viejo. Once the nominations are in, the city will select a handful of honorees to showcase during an Oct. 12 city council meeting. The call-out for nominations was announced by Mission Viejo's Diversity + Inclusion task force Thursday. The Diversity + Inclusion Task force was established last year and consists of local volunteers who work to foster diversity and inclusion in Mission Viejo. If you have a nomination, be sure to submit an application through the city's website by noon Oct. 6. For more information, residents are encouraged to email [email protected].
