LA GRANGE, IL – La Grange police arrested two people in the last few days on retail theft charges. Here is information from the reports: Cynthia Engel, 56, of La Grange Park, was cited about noon Sunday on a charge of theft. According to a police report, Engel took miscellaneous merchandise from Walgreens, 2 La Grange Road. She was found after it was determined she left prescription medication at the store with an address, police said. Robert Soden, 48, of Lyons, was cited about 1 p.m. Sept. 17 on a charge of retail theft. According to a police report, Soden stole five cases of beer from Walgreens, 2 N. La Grange Road. A Countryside officer stopped Soden. A witness was able to identify Soden as the suspect. The alcohol was in plain view in the back seat.
