Description

COBB COUNTY, GA — Cobb County government officials opened a tool for residents to report any flooding damage to their homes from the Sept. 8 storm online. Reports of damaged homes and property are still coming into the Cobb Emergency Management Agency from the Sept. 8 torrential rainfall event, and while the EMA continues to respond to these reports, residents can instead fill out a form online if they haven't already spoken to someone with a Cobb EMA team. You can use this link to access the form. It's only a reporting tool for the flooding event of Sept. 8, not any future or past flood events. It's also only for damage to "essential living spaces," not yards or landscaping. The form will ask for a team number or name — if you don't have one, just choose "other," county officials said in a news release. Photos of damage are preferred, if possible. The information gathered from the form will be used for a report to the Georgia Emergency Management Agency after which any disaster declaration will be considered. If that happens, Cobb EMA teams will contact those affected by the declaration. Visit cobbcounty.org for more information.
