Dearborn Police said officers were called to the Falcon Inn, at 25125 Michigan Avenue, on a report of someone yelling, "Call the police."
Once officers got there they found a white male holding a room door shut and preventing someone from leaving.
As officers interacted with the man, a struggle ensued, during which the man became unresponsive.
Officers and Dearborn Fire Department personnel immediately began performing lifesaving measures, before the man was transported to Beaumont-Dearborn where he was pronounced dead.
Anyone with information that could assist with the investigation is asked to contact Michigan State Police at 734-287-5000, and ask for D/Sgt. Adam Henderson.
