WH Canon operates a large true nursery along Custer Road. It is about a 1 mile West of the Monroe fairgrounds. Your duties will include: ..watering ..weed control ..trimming ..preparing for shipment If a low-stress, daylight hour job sounds good to you lets talk. This is a season job that begins around the first week of March and ends about the last week of December. This means there are almost 3 months of work at our nursery before the Winter sets in. After Winter sets in, additional hours of work are available if you want to help with our snow removal contracts. Snow removal is paid significantly higher wages but requires you to come to Detroit. You might be able to carpool with our other nursery workers. The pay rate is $13-$14 an hour and you will qualify for the company health care plan after 90 days, and our 401 (k) plan after 1 year. At a minimum you need to be able to lift 30 lbs, operate a weed whipper, move hoses around, and work outdoors roughly 8 months of the year. Ability to work in the United States
