The Heritage Concert Band of Troy is inviting musicians to come join our group. We meet on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays each month at the Troy Community Center, 3179 Livernois, 1 block North of Big Beaver. 7:30 PM in the multipurpose room next to the North Entrance. (Next rehearsal is October 6th.) Maestro Larry Huntington is a fine, fun conductor. Our music ranges from Pop to Patriotic, Classical to good, old, Concert Band pieces. We perform at community events, churches and by special invitation. All concert band musicians are invited to join us. Members range from High School (home schooled) to Seniors. We are especially in need of percussionists who can read music (Drum set provided- bring your sticks & percussion tools). Everyone needs to bring a music stand- and your instrument, and be ready to play by 7:30 PM. The Troy Rec. Department charges a $10 fee for residents, $20 non-residents (the Band may reimburse $10 for non-residents). This covers one year use of the facility- quite a bargain!
