Be part of an important research study being conducted on brain and glucose metabolism at Albert Einstein College of Medicine! The research group of Dr. Meredith Hawkins is seeking healthy men and women 12-55 years old, without family history of diabetes, to participate in a research study to help us better understand how activating control centers of the brain can affect how much glucose (sugar) is produced by the liver. Participation in these studies involves a preliminary screening at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, which includes a medical evaluation, EKG, urine drug tests, routine urine tests, and blood draw. Participants will be notified if eligible to participate in the research study and future additional studies.
