I need to re-home my sweet Kaia (Kai-ya). She’s 5 yrs old. I adopted her from the animal defense league in 2017 when she was 1yr old. She has been fixed and chipped. Kaia has struggled to socialize with pets outside my home. She got along with my other two dogs because I got them both as puppies. She is gentle with people, children and puppies, but doesn’t like other animals very much. Over the years I have done my best to work with her staying calm around other animals, sometimes she wants to chase but she will mostly listen to me and stay close yet cautious. She is protective of her family and very loving and affectionate. She is not too active ever since she got attacked by a loose Rottweiler two years ago. She is an inside dog who loves walks and car rides. Even though she has done very well with her brothers and even my mom’s dogs when we visit, she would be best in a home where she is the only pet and can receive lots of love and attention.
