GLISS General Labor & Industrial Staffing Solutions is hiring for a locally owned and operated environmental management company for environmental field laborers. Our Environmental field laborers are responsible for the performance of tasks associated with tank cleaning, high pressure water blasting, emergency response clean-up, hazardous waste clean-up and the handling of hazardous materials. Job Responsibilities: -Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times -Performing labor intensive activities in all weather conditions throughout the day -Ability to perform work inside areas of varying dimensions; involving squatting and crawling for possible extended periods -Project work may require out of town travel for two weeks or more -May work in environments that are extreme in nature such as heat, cold, heights, hazardous chemicals, loud noises, dangerous equipment, long hours etc. -May be exposed to varying levels of physical activities and physical extremes such as long periods of standing, walking, crouching, use of hands, and heavy lifting of up to 50 pounds or more Qualifications: -Requires High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent reading, writing and reasoning skills) -Additional experience in related work (emergency response, manual labor, general construction, landscaping -valid driver's license is required Schedule: Monday- Friday (Possible weekend and out of town stays) $18/hour - $20/hour DOE HOW TO APPLY: Begin the first part of our application online at www.general-lbr.com, and then give us a call to schedule a time to come into the office to finish the rest of the application process at (503) 967-6246 OR Apply in person at: 3070 Lancaster Dr NE Salem OR 97301 Monday - Friday | 8:30am – 3:30PM
