It is time for the Republican Party to "cancel" Trump

After all that he has said; after all he has done to weaken democracy; after all the division he has sowed and all the hatred that he has reaped; the TIME HAS COME for the Republican Party to discard Trump on the ash heap of Cancel Culture conventions! Trump is not only destroying the Republican Party, he is also destroying the foundation of modern American democracy that is predicated on a two-party adversarial political system. A one-party system - be it Republican or Democratic - would be catastrophic to the freedoms we all enjoy. There once was freedom in Hong Kong...the CCP (Chinse Communist Party) killed it swiftly. There once was freedom in the Russian Federation. Putin and The United Russia party all but ended such an Ideal in the past few years. If Trump gets his way, much of the Republican Party would be dissolved and reconstituted as the Party of Trump. If that happens, then the Republican Party would quickly find itself on life support as Trump's MAGA party would quickly fill the void. When that happens, the MAGA party will fall into disarray once Trump exits the public's view. A party built on a single person, a cult of personality, is destined to fail. For the Republican Party to continue, then Trump must go.
