Job Title: Groundskeeper Department: Engineering Reports to: Director of Engineering / Chief Engineer SUMMARY Maintain resort landscaping and grounds, including but not limited to: Cutting grass, edging, trimming and general clean-up. Responsibly performs in a safe working environment and provides quality service to achieve maximum guest satisfaction. Strives to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times. Essential job functions: Maintaining lawns, trees, shrubs, flowers, turf and irrigation. Fertilizing lawn, trees, flowers and shrubs, and spreading mulch. Trimming trees, hedges and shrubs, and preventing and eliminating weeds. Operating and maintaining hand tools, such as loppers, saws and shovels efficiently. Minor repairs needed and may assist in the repair of walks, buildings, and mechanical equipment using hand tools. Maintains buildings and grounds, washes windows and empties trashcans as needed. Performs preventive maintenance of facilities, buildings and equipment. Reports large grounds problems to supervisor. Assists Engineering operation as needed. Working Conditions: Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time and work in all weather conditions including extreme hot and cold weather. Must be able to stand up and move about the facility/grounds for the majority of shift. Must be able to lift, carry, push & pull up to 50 lbs. Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently, and squeezing & overhead reaching occasionally. Must be able to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, walk on uneven surfaces on a frequent basis. Must be able to frequently handle objects and equipment to maintain the facility. Must be able to walk outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, heat). Must be able to climb stairs occasionally, both indoors and outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, heat). Must be able to work in variable temperatures. Must be able to work with loud noises. Must have valid driver's license. Must be able to work weekends and early mornings.
