Maia is a black/white American staffordshire mix. When my partner and I split he left Maia with me, without notice. I’ve been doing my best to care for her, but with the pandemic and money problems, I can’t afford to give her the life she deserves. I’m a single mom and I’m barely scraping by. She needs someone who can take care of her, give her the love and attention she wants, and make sure she’s safe. I will only consider homes with fenced in yards. Maia is an escape artists and will run if given the chance. While she can be a bit of a sneak, she’s the most cuddly and lovable dog. She’d rather snooze on the couch or curl up next to you and nap all day than anything else. She’s a huge fan of tennis balls and will chase one for hours if you let her. She knows basic commands. She hates a leash. She’s great with kids, but would benefit from being in a home without other pets. Unfortunately she was never socialized, so she doesn’t like other animals at all. She isn’t fixed and I don’t know if she’s ever been to a vet. I’ve tried listing her on rehoming sites and I can’t afford to take her to the humane society. I also don’t want to chance her being put down if she’s taken to a shelter. She a good dogs and deserves a good home.
