Pumpkin Carving Joy and Reading with The Garden Shoppe We're teaming up with our friends at The Garden Shoppe to bring you a special event that celebrates fall while learning about the Indigenous Peoples' cultural celebration of pumpkins! Join us Friday, October 22nd at Rohi's Readery in Rosemary Square to carve your own pumpkin and learn more about the importance of this delicious item! For the first part of the class Rohi's Readery will do a fun Revolutionary Storytime featuring a surprise reading! Then, The Garden Shoppe will have an array of pumpkins to choose from and will guide you in the art of carving. Kids will get to learn more about where our food comes from and will take home their own decorated pumpkin to put on display! Includes one pumpkin and materials to decorate! Guests will also have the option to purchase additional pumpkins and plants at the event. The mission of Rohi's Readery is to provide accessibility to all through the love of critical literacy, the talents and gifts of the community, and educational programming. Thus, programming is FREE (paid for by Rohi's Readery) unless otherwise stated on the event site. Donations are appreciated and will go back into Revolutionary Educational Programming.
