Did you know breastfeeding protects a baby from many viruses? Learn from our Internationally Board-Certified Lactation Nurse the benefits of breastfeeding, challenges that may arise and other basic breastfeeding tips and tricks for a great start for your baby. Partners/Support people also have an important role in breastfeeding success. Ideas will be shared for how they can contribute and ways they can also bond with a breastfed baby. (recommended during 2nd/3rd Trimester) Your ticket includes you and a support partner. Free childcare is also available for those participating. The goal of our Health Education Department is to promote health and wellness for our patients. Our health education staff works in collaboration with Peak Vista providers to offer individualized and group education for patients. Health education is provided by a Registered Dietitian, whose services are available to all Peak Vista patients. Our Health Education Department’s group classes and individual appointments focus on teaching lifestyle modifications for disease prevention, including Healthy eating Regular exercise Stress management Chronic disease managementEtc..
