Our November bird walk will take place at Belmar Park in Lakewood. We will explore the lake in search of a variety of duck species.
Bird Walks are offered on a monthly basis. Each season brings new species and new bird behavior. We will spend the morning looking for birds, working on identification and enjoy time outdoors with fellow bird lovers. Birders of all levels of experience are invited to join our walks including children with an interest in birds (as long as they are accompanied by an adult!).
Our November bird walk will take place at Belmar Park. We will be exploring the lake and pond habitats at this location and discovering the diversity of bird and duck species. We will discuss the relationships between native plants, birds, insects and local wildlife. We’ll be focusing on duck species and looking for Common Goldeneyes, Mergansers, Northern Shovelers, Buffleheads, Scaup, Ring-necked Ducks, Cackling Geese, and if we're lucky, maybe a Snow or Ross's Goose will show up!
Please don’t hesitate to reach out to Dina Baker at [email protected] or 720-679-4449 with any questions regarding our walks.
