Join the Charles River Conservancy for a kayak trip on the river to see the verdant floating wetland! Enjoy the crisp air of early fall and explore the Charles River Conservancy (CRC) floating wetland on kayaks with members of the CRC team. Experience the flowering native plants and incredible plant root systems up close. Space is limited! The Charles River Conservancy is a 501(c)(3) non-profit based in Cambridge, MA. Established in 2000, the CRC is dedicated to the stewardship, renewal, and enhancement of the urban parklands along the Charles River. The CRC works in partnership with the Department of Conservation and Recreation to make the parklands more active, attractive, and accessible for all. A major initiaitve of the CRC is the Swim Park Project, which seeks to reclaim urban swimming in the urban Charles River by building a safe, fun, and accessible permanent swimming facility in the river.
