Raise a glass for charity and enjoy our small town take on this classic Bavarian celebration. Amazing beer, music, food, games & more! You are invited to Historic Stanardsville, Virginia to enjoy our small town take on this traditional Bavarian celebration. The celebration begins just before 4 PM when our horse-drawn beer cart approaches the event venue carrying the keg for the mayor's official tapping ceremony. When the deed is done, the mayor will give the word and strike up the band to bring the celebration into full swing. Stanardsville Oktoberfest offers something for everyone. Guests may enjoy tasting samples from our highly competitive home-brewers contest, purchase pours from a variety of commercial beer, wine and cider offerings, feast on delicious food from numerous regional food trucks, snack on authentic german pretzels, and enjoy wonderful music from the, Lost Ledershosen, Rivanna Winds, and Lydia Station bands. For those seeking more hands-on entertainment, we have you covered. Test your skill at hatchet throwing, strut your stuff across the stage and work the crowd for their vote in our costume contest, dance with your beloved and enjoy games and attractions aplenty as we offer you an evening of excellent food, drink & entertainment. So what are you waiting for? Bring your picnic blankets or lawn chairs and relax, be our guests and enjoy all the hospitality our small town can offer. Admission to this charity fundraiser is $25 per person with proceeds going to support the Red, White, Blue 'n Greene. Please help us keep the RWBnG alive and well in 2022! Convenient parking is located next to the event venue in the William Monroe school complex. Early arrival is encouraged for best selection. Costumes are encouraged but not required.
