Enjoy a selection of delicious donuts from Industrial Donut at your table while riding in one of our restored Illinois Central dining cars The Donut Train is returning for another set of Saturday departures! On September 25th or October 2nd, join us at the Monticello Railway Museum for a fun breakfast and train ride experience on board one of our Illinois Central dining cars with Industrial Donut of Savoy, IL. In order for one of our dining cars to go into the shops for maintenance, we will be offering two departure times of 8:00 AM and 9:30 AM from our Nelson Crossing depot. Please visit our website for additional information and to purchase your table onboard. But don't delay, tables will go FAST for this event! Seating for this event will only be sold as a table of four (sorry, no single seats will be available) in one of our restored dining cars, #4110 or #4112. Pricing for The Donut Train is $85 per table of up to four passengers, all ages included. Each table will receive a box of one dozen of Industrial Donut's finest assortment of donuts to enjoy during the approximately 1 hr. long train ride, which you will be able to take home with you at the conclusion of the journey. An assortment of drinks and juices will be available for your choosing as well. All food and beverages are included in the price of your ticket! The Monticello Railway Museum is an all-volunteer organization in central Illinois with a 7½ mile long operating railroad line, and a railroad yard open to the public. We offer train rides on weekends from May through October (rain or shine), and we offer a number of special events throughout the year. We also collect, preserve, interpret, and exhibit materials and artifacts from throughout the fascinating history of trains and railroading. Come explore our many rail cars and other equipment, and view our museum displays.
