This evening event is a fun, safe way to shop and to take advantage of locally owned boutiques while sampling wines and foods. The Downtown Monroe First Thursday Wine Walk is hosted by Main Street Monroe, Inc. and is our holiday open house! Attendee registration includes a commemorative glass, wristband, drink and food samples, including locally made beers and ciders, and shopping specials at a variety of stops. Event Date/Times: Thursday, November 4th , 2021 3pm – 6pm Registration at Buehler Interiors 5pm – 9pm wine walk Event is sponsored by Hawk's Mill Winery in partnership with the Bank of New Glarus ALL participants must start at Buehler Interiors 1900 12th Street Tickets: $30 per person $10 designated drivers The First Thursday Wine Walk is designed to allow a variety of patrons to explore locally owned and unique businesses, sample regional, American, and international wines, as well as create a fun, safe new event to enjoy downtown at your own pace! Explore the shops and businesses in Downtown Monroe, including new shops, as you taste a variety of wines. Registration includes entry into all participating businesses, drink samples and food pairings and shopping specials at locally owned retail businesses, and a gift bag with commemorative wine glass and goodies. Limited tickets. Must be 21+. Designated driver tickets are available and may be purchased by calling 608.328.4023. Tickets are non-refundable HOW IT WORKS: Each participating store will have samples available. To start the Walk, each ticket holder must stop at Buehler Interiors (1900 12th Street) between 3pm and 6pm on the day of the event to show their ID (proof of legal drinking age) and to pick up their wristband, commemorative glass, and list of participating businesses. You may NOT pick up wristbands for other people. Wristbands will be secured at check in. Participants pick up their glass and bring their glass along to participating business to sample. A comprehensive brochure will be given out at check-in, identifying participating stores and identifying wines available to sample. THE RULES: Must be 21+. Must provide proof of legal age at wristband check in. No wine/beverages will be served prior to 5 p.m. All wine glasses must be empty before leaving a participating store. Business will have a dump bucket and rinse station available. TIPS: Bring your ID. Have fun! Main Street Monroe, Inc. is a 503(c) not for profit, volunteer driven organization dedicated to community development in downtown Monroe. Focuses include community events, small business development, historic preservation, and economic development.
