The USA Cycling “Let's Ride” Camp is a nationwide bicycle safety and basic bike skills education curriculum for kids. Let's Ride Cycling Camp is a fun way for kids to learn how to ride a bicycle or learn how to ride better safely. The Let’s Ride Camp curriculum is 4 hours long and free for all participants 8 to 16 years old. Teach kids how to ride their bikes safely.Bicycles and helmets will be provided for those who don't have them.Free commemorative event t-shirt and USA Cycling Memberships for all who attend.All kids will get a special tour of the Velo Sports Center, an Official U.S. Olympic Training Site for indoor cycling events.Kids will get to meet and ride with Olympic cyclists and national champions. The LA Let’s Ride Camp has two skill levels. For beginners, learn how to ride a bicycle in a safe environment with experienced coaches, some simple safety tips, and how to use a bicycle helmet. For those who know how to ride, learn the basics of riding safely and improve their cycling skills. What's provided at the Let's Ride Cycling Camp. Streets Are For Everyone (SAFE) aims to improve the quality of life for pedestrians, bicyclists and drivers alike by reducing traffic caused fatalities to Zero. SAFE addresses the problem in a holistic fashion through direct education, broad awareness campaigns, partnerships, community outreach, policy and legislation, support for those impacted and other proven strategies. Working not only in the Los Angeles area but rapidly expanding to other metropolitan areas including (but not limited to) Sacramento, Orange County, Ventura County and Wisconsin, SAFE’s programs include: Media and social media campaigns to raise awareness Direct education of those on the streets and through schools. Partnering with like-minded non-profits and city and state officials to coordinate actions and bring about change. Support of sensible legislation and policy Broad Public Information Campaigns which address not only hit-and-run crimes but drunk, drugged and distracted driving as well. This includes: bus ads, billboards, media and social media. Support to those who have been affected by or been victims of traffic incidents.
