NEWTON, MA — Lasell University announced Thursday that Dr. Lynne Celli has been named the Dean of Graduate and Professional Studies.
An experienced educator and administrator, Celli comes to Lasell from Endicott College, where she served in various positions including Executive Director of Professional Education and Leadership, Dean of Graduate Professional Education, and Associate Dean for Graduate Education programs.
"Dr. Celli is highly regarded within the education sector. She is a talented administrator, a respected professor, a prolific author, and much sought-after speaker, said Dr. Chrystal Porter, Vice President of Enrollment & Marketing. "We are so excited that she brings this wealth of experience to her new role at Lasell University."
During her tenure at Endicott, Celli was responsible for developing and overseeing the curriculum for academic programs at the doctoral, masters and certificate levels for both licensure and non-licensure programs. She also previously served as Superintendent of Swampscott Public Schools and an Instructional Review Board committee member, led partnership initiatives with PreK-12 school districts, and has previous experience with the New England Commission of Higher Education and the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
Celli was named a Distinguished Educator by Phi Delta Kappa and has been appointed to the International Who's Who of Professional Educators and the National Association of Professional Women. She has also authored many books and articles on various topics.
