Black Warrior Riverkeeper is teaming up with District 1 to help clean up our watershed!
Join us for a day of service on Saturday, September 25, 2021.
Meeting point: We will be meeting in the shopping center parking lot at the intersection of Edwards Lake Rd & Springville Rd.
Safety: This event will take place along the roadside in an area that may not have sidewalks, so please only sign up if you feel comfortable with this. (Children must be at least 10yrs old to participate and must be accompanied by an adult.)
What we encourage volunteers to wear/bring:
1. Comfortable clothing that you do not mind getting a little wet or dirty (preferably long pants)
2. Your protective mask
3. Closed-toed shoes
4. Water
What we will provide:
1. Garbage bags
2. Gloves/Litter Pickers
**Event organizers have taken extra steps this year to be COVID conscious and to protect our participants during this outdoor event. Therefore, masks are required during this event.
Black Warrior Riverkeeper’s mission is to protect and restore the Black Warrior River and its tributaries. We are a citizen-based nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting clean water for the sake of public health, recreation, and wildlife habitat throughout our patrol area, the Black Warrior River watershed.
