Indecent Exposure Reported On Sterling Trail: Police

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — An indecent exposure was reported along the Washington and Old Dominion trail in Sterling on Wednesday, according to a report from the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. Now, police are looking for a suspect. A victim, who was not identified by authorities, told police she was running on the trail near marker point 23 when she heard a man call to her. When she turned to look at the man, he was exposing himself, according to the police report. The victim then continued along the trail away from the man. "The subject followed and approached her before turning around and walking in the opposite direction on the trail," the sheriff's office wrote in their report. The suspect was described as a Black or Hispanic man, authorities said. At the time of the reported exposure, he was wearing a white shirt, black shorts, and flip flops. He had black hair. Indecent exposure is a class 1 misdemeanor in Virginia. It is described as intentionally making an obscene display or exposing one's private parts.
