COLLIERVILLE, TN — One person is dead and at least a dozen others were injured when a gunman opened fire in a Tennessee supermarket before turning the gun on himself, according to reports. The shooting happened Thursday afternoon at a Kroger supermarket in Collierville, a Memphis suburb located on the eastern edge of Shelby County. Officials described the victims' injuries as "very serious" and also confirmed the gunman's death, the Washington Post reported. Collierville Police Chief Dale Lane called it "the most horrific event" in city history.
