Hi everyone,
This hurts to have to do, but unfortunately I must make this post. I have been having my chinchilla, her name is Diamond, for 2 years now, and we have both grown together amazingly. Unfortunately due to a change in my leasing my Landlords had decided that they wanted no more pets, so I had 2 months to rehome her. I didn’t want to give her away due to how long I had been taking care of her, (I love her), so I decided to have one of my friends take her in for while until I could find a place to move. It’s been 3 months, and I have been struggling with finding a place big enough for my chinchilla, my significant other and I that isn’t ridiculously expensive (since I am a college student) and that also accepts pets.
She has been living from me for awhile now and I go and visit her and take care of her but I still feel bad not being able to have her around. I just feel as though her quality of care isn’t where is should be and that because she isn’t with me. I’ve come to the decision that it’s in her best interest if I find someone who can take really good care of her. That is all I ask. Who has enough space for her to move around, enough patience and kindness to deal with her hyperness and neediness, and enough money to continue to provide for her since they’re not cheap pets.
I will be giving away all of her things, my only wish is that an actually chinchilla recommended cage is purchased before getting her due to the fact that the cage she has now is fine but not at all the one she really needs. The chinspin above has little wear and tear on it from having it so long (those are the pictures of it when I first got it) and due to how expensive she was, and that wheel was, I will be asking for 100 dollars for her, the wheel, and any of her other belongings (bedding/toys/food/bath/cooling pad etc).
Please contact me if you have any more questions.
Thank you so much.
