OAK FOREST, IL — A man with a noticeable limp robbed a Midlothian bank early Thursday afternoon, the FBI said. The suspect is still at large and is to be considered armed and dangerous. Around 1 p.m., authorities said the would-be robber walked into the BMO Harris Bank, 4050 W. 147th St. He displayed a firearm and demanded money, before fleeing the bank on foot heading north. The suspect is described as a male black, between 5-foot-8 inches and 6-feet tall, with an average to heavy build. He was wearing black pants, a black hooded sweatshirt over his head, and a black mask. Witnesses told police the suspect walked with a noticeable limp in his right leg. The robbery on Thursday follows on the heels of two robberies in as many days that happened in Naperville earlier in the week. On Wednesday morning, the BMO Harris branch at 1795 South Washington St., where the feds said a man passed a note to the teller and a white garbage bag to the teller. In what is being described by the FBI as a "violent" takeover robbery, on Tuesday, a man displayed a gun at the Fifth-Third bank branch at 2644 Showplace Dr., Naperville. The suspect also fled on foot and remains at large. It is unknown if the bank robberies are related.
