Free Public Dental Clinic Being Held Friday, Saturday At Temple

PHILADELPHIA — Members of the public seeking dental care can do so this weekend thanks to Temple University and MOM-n-PA. The pair is hosting a free, public dental clinic Friday and Saturday at the Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry, 3223 N. Broad St. Both clinics being at 6 a.m. There are no income or eligibility requirements for anyone to attend the event. Services that will be offered for both children and adults include examinations, fillings, cleanings, extractions, root canal treatments and limited denture care. Services also include screenings for H1NC, diabetes and blood pressure. MOM-n-PA is an annual free dental clinic for underserved Pennsylvanians in which dental treatment is provided at no cost to individuals who cannot afford dental care. Its services are especially important in Philadelphia, which is the home of one of the state's largest populations of underserved dental patients. The event is sponsored by The Kornberg School of Dentistry, United Concordia, Independence Blue Cross and Henry Schein Cares.
