LOS ANGELES, ca — Dodger broadcaster Joe Davis will miss and undetermined number of games after he tested positive for COVID-19 Wednesday. The diagnosis comes as the Dodgers battle down the stretch for the top sport in the National League West. The Dodgers issued a statement announcing Davis's positive test despite being fully vaccinated. The 33-year-old is recovering in isolation at home, according to the team. Davis' broadcasting partner, former pitcher Orel Hershiser, is quarantining "due to his close contact" with Davis, according to the team. The pair will miss, at least, the next couple of broadcasts, according to the team. Broadcasters Tim Neverett and Ned Colletti will reportedly fill-in for the pair. "We wish them both well and look forward to safely welcoming them back to the Dodger broadcast," the team said in a statement. Davis took over for broadcasting legend Vin Scully in 2017.
