ELMHURST, IL — Elmhurst arrested three men in the last few days. Here is information from the reports: Joseph Serr, 47, of Elmhurst, was arrested about 7 p.m. Monday in the 100 block of Fairlane on two counts of domestic battery. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail. According to a police report, Serr forcefully grabbed a woman by both of her arms and forced her up the stairs. An officer observed redness on the woman's arms and near her collar bone. Mohamed Bakri, 53, of Columbus, Ohio, was arrested about 11:30 p.m. Monday in the 900 block of Riverside on a charge of DUI. He was released on bond.James Burnett, 61, of Chicago, was arrested about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday on a DuPage County Sheriff's Office warrant. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail. According to a police report, officers responded to a call about the well-being of a person at McDonald's restaurant, 190 E. Butterfield Road, who was crying and screaming. Burnett was found to be under the influence. Police report information is provided by local police departments. Charges are not evidence of guilt. They are a record of police actions on a given day, and persons charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
