PORTLAND, OR – The night of September 23, 2015, reports of gunfire brought Portland police to Northeast 15th Avenue and Buffalo Street. there they found two people in a car. Both had been shot. One was a 41-year-old woman whose name has not been released. she was rushed to the hospital and survived. The other person, 30-year-old Stephen Dwayne McCovrey, Jr., had been killed.
