TUCSON, AZ — A woman who suffered severe injuries when a vehicle apparently struck her Sunday in a south Tucson parking lot died from her injuries Tuesday, police said. The woman was 38-year-old Carrissa Marie Santa Cruz, according to Tucson police. Three men were also shot in the incident in a parking lot of the apartment complex at 1240 W. Ajo Way early Sunday morning. One of those men was hit by a stray bullet while he was inside an apartment, police said. None of gunshot victims' injuries were life-threatening, according to police. Santa Cruz and the three men were all taken to local hospitals for treatment, police said. Police did not release the names of the three men. Police believe that the incident began with some sort of physical confrontation in the parking lot that escalated to an exchange of gunfire and Santa Cruz being struck by a vehicle. Tucson police are investigating the incident. Police urge anyone with information to call 911 or 88-CRIME. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
