Beautiful Santa Ynez ranch seeks Ranch Manager committed to low-impact, sustainable land and facilities management. This is a full-time position with a generous salary, paid vacations, health insurance and housing. The Manager’s home, set on a secluded oak-studded ridge, is suitable for a small family. Responsibilities: •Care for land and infrastructure of a historic multibuilding ranch •Oversee a small olive orchard, assist in biodynamic food pro-duction and help with animal care •Hire and supervise outside labor and vendors •Create budgets, plans and mantain records •Organize tools and equipment •Perform basic security and surveillance •Assist in producing/gathering various art materials •Be on call for emergencies large and small Ideal skills and experience: •Prior land, garden, tree care and irrigation system experience •Competence in basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical and oper-ating, maintaining, and repairing farm equipment •Clean animal pens, remove pond algae, move heavy things •Computer literacy •Creative problem solving •Excellent communication skills; fluent English •Hold a valid driver license
