The People's Canvass Cooperative (TPC) is urgently hiring field canvassers passionate about transforming public safety to join our outreach effort for the election. Position: Field Canvasser Reports to: Field Manager/Canvass Director Pay Rate: $22/hr, paid training, + referral bonus Status: full-time (35-40hrs) seasonal/temporary (Today - November 2) In partnership with Yes 4 Minneapolis, TPC is implementing an GOTV outreach program to activate Minneapolis residents to support the Yes 4 Minneapolis charter amendment. As a canvasser, you will be the most important point of contact to many voters when it comes to the charter amendment. You will make contact with voters at their doors, at community events, and on the phone. To ensure your success as a canvasser, you should have excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to concisely provide information to the public. Include a few sentences about why you are interested in joining the campaign. Organization The People’s Canvass (TPC) consults and provides services to organizations centered around social transformation. We create and build infrastructure through membership building, small donor fundraising, data gathering, and base building for long term stability and political growth. The intention of TPC is to use face to face conversations to facilitate social change. We believe that no one should exist on a margin, and that our positions at the intersections of race, ability, culture, class, sexuality, gender, & religion are our catalyst to that work. Note Regarding COVID-19 Given the situation with COVID-19, we are currently asking to wear a mask while you are at the office and in the field for your safety. We ask that all canvassers be fully vaccinated or be in the process of getting vaccinated against COVID-19.
