Metal band looking for bassist

Is it thrash? Is it metalcore? Is it death? Is it prog? Why not all of the above? Guitarist and drummer looking to put together a band that stylistically incorporates a number of different metal genres. We draw our influences from all across the metal spectrum, from thrashy bands like Lamb of God and Hatebreed, melodic death metal bands like Amon Amarth, In Flames, and Mors Principium Est, progressive death metal bands like Obscura and Allegaeon, and djent bands like Periphery and Animals as Leaders. Basically if it's heavy, driving, and at least a little melodic we're into it. We have a collection of some initial material that we have put together on soundcloud that should give you an idea of the stylistic direction we're looking to go. These are all scratch tracks that we hope to refine with our future bandmates: https://soundcloud.com/wesley-griswold-313139331/sets/cl-song-samples/s-DFN2f7nDYZG We are looking for a bassist who can fill enough sonic space that we don't need a dedicated rhythm guitar player. Basically while you may be following the guitar sometimes, your parts will often also add harmony and help glue differing guitar and drum parts together. The scratch bass lines on the tracks above should give you an idea of what we're looking for, however we do not necessarily expect you to play them note-for-note. We also expect you to have your own professional-level gear that is gig-ready, or at least a plan to purchase a giggable setup very soon. We are both currently in our mid-to-late 30s and have careers/family/other life commitments. We expect you to be available for practice at least once a week, and to do a lot of the songwriting outside of that so we can spend practice time focusing on getting a tight sound. If you don't have a home setup to make scratch/reference tracks we can help you get that set up. We ultimately want to gig locally a couple times a month, maybe open for some larger out-of-town acts, and to do a small regional tour once a year or so.
