Veterans Communication Services, Inc is seeking a Warehouse Worker to perform warehouse operating support duties: ordering, receiving, storing, issuing, and inventory of materials, supplies, tools, and equipment as well as performing manual tasks such as moving and lifting heavy, bulky objects. Other duties also include processing a variety of service/repair requests on various communication and electronic devices and interacting with vendors on repair status. Note: The selected candidate must show proof of identity and legal right to work in the United States. Qualifications: ⮚ Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer skills ⮚ Good communication and customer service skills ⮚ Prior office support experience is desired Duties include but are not limited to: ⮚ Maintain a storeroom and its contents in a clean and orderly condition; ⮚ Operate hoists, forklifts, jacks, and related lifting equipment; ⮚ Follow oral and written directions; ⮚ Make routine arithmetic calculations; ⮚ Do routine to moderately difficult clerical work; ⮚ Maintain records which reflect stock movement; ⮚ Use basic office machines such as adding and labeling machines; ⮚ Use computer systems for data entry and retrieval; ⮚ Type at a speed and level of accuracy within acceptable City standards; ⮚ Inspect materials, supplies, tools, and equipment for conformance to requisitioning and delivery documents or with specifications; ⮚ Communicate and deal with others with tact and good judgment; ⮚ Perform average lifting up to 40 pounds and occasionally over 40 pounds. Work Schedule: Working hours are expected to fall between 6:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Work 40 hours per week. Estimated start date: ASAP.
