Reason why Democrats support tearing down Confederate statues

Actually it's easy to understand, these statutes represented their historical past as being the Confederacy where Black slaves were bought and sold, treated like animals to enrich Democrats. Removal of the statues eliminates the questions children have as who they were and what made them important enough to have a statue built in their honor. Over time it allows Democrats to "reimagine" their own bloody history. Think about it, if your family were mass murderers, slavers, rapists, treated Blacks as less than human you wouldn't want statutes reminding people today who & how they were. Imagine if you were related to John Wayne Gacy the serial child murder and there was a statue of him in your city.
